UNT – Research Building
Removed and replaced all existing skylights (forty units overall) with new Wasco barrel vault skylights.
The 20ft by 8ft skylights had to be shipped in sections, then assembled and installed. Sections of the existing BUR flat roof were also replaced or repaired.
Plano ISD
Removed the existing roofing system down to the deck and installed a new roofing system with Coal Tar Elastomeric Membrane gravel surface and tapered insulation. Multiple layers of insulation with new sheet metal flashing were also installed.
Waxachachie ISD
Removed all ballasted EPDM roof systems down to either the structurally sloped LWC deck or metal deck. The roof system consisted of one-ply type IV fiberglass felts and one-ply Flex 60 mil (white) fleeced back membrane that was hot-mopped.
City of Rowlett
The city of Rowlett was struggling with roof leaks at this location for five years. They were tired of dealing with roofing companies that could not repair the leaks and they needed these leaks to be permanently fixed and fixed fast. Castro installed new metal coping, counter flashing and new custom metal wall panels throughout.
